About the Event
Totem are super stoked to announce one full day of Skate, Scoot, and BMX, opening two brand new skateparks across two locations!
For this event, we are heading to Wallerawang Skatepark. The day comprises of demo’s from guest Skate, Scooter and BMX riders*, beginner and intermediate skateboarding workshops, as well as 1-hour jam style comps.
The skate workshops include all equipment and focuses on developing and improving skate skills as well as building confidence. With a focus on the following:
– The correct standing techniques
– The correct stopping techniques
– How to control the board
– How to make safe decisions while skateboarding
– Skatepark navigation and etiquette
– Some basic tricks and skateboard skills
After the end of the workshops, we will be running an open ability and all ages jam style comp. The jam style comp is designed to allow participants to showcase their skills and skate together.

Location 1 Schedule
12:30 pm – 1:00 pm: MP Opens Skatepark
1:00 pm – 1:30 pm: Skate, Scoot, BMX demo
1:30 pm – 2:15 pm: Break
2:15 pm – 3:00 pm: Intermediate Workshop
3:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Jams Style Comp
Q. How do I know which workshop to register for?
A. Our beginner workshops are designed for those that want to learn or get more comfortable with standing on a skateboarding, pushing or riding around and turning their board. Our intermediate workshop is more focused towards those that are comfortable skating on their skateboard, want to learn some basic level tricks or practice going down ramps at the skatepark. We ask you to only register for the workshop that is suitable for your ability. That way the workshops are run to cater to everyone and nobody gets left behind.
Q. Is there a minimum or maximum age requirement to enter the event?
A. Yes, the participant must be 5 years and there’s no maximum age.
Q. What do I need to bring into the event?
A. We supply all necessary equipment for our events (skateboard, helmet, and pads). Feel free to bring along your own board or helmet so the coaches can do a quick safety check!
Q. What do I do if I have registered for an event and can’t make it anymore?
A. If you have registered for an event and can’t make it anymore, we ask you to cancel your ticket. We often sell out and people are then put onto waitlists. If you cancel your ticket it means someone else can come to the event. If you are having difficulty canceling your ticket please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Q. How about if it looks like rain?
A. If it looks like it’s going to rain, you will be sent an event update email as soon as possible. Sorry, but we can’t skate in the rain!
