Main Street Lithgow
Lithgow Main Street will be overrun with freaky fiends, ghouls, zombies and lovable fantasy characters. The night time activities will start from 6.10pm with a street parade led by Samba drumming band Samba Trombada to the main stage for the official welcome and the best dressed competition. The event will feature local creative talent with live music and performances. One of the features of Lithgow Halloween is the creative skull auction organised by Lithgow Tidy Towns where ornamental skulls are turned into colourful works of art and proceeds of the auction are donated to charity. The main shopping area will be transformed into a fun-filled pedestrian zone with non-stop entertainment including amusement rides, markets and a community Trick or Treat activity for children. The Lithgow Halloween event is managed by Lithgow City Council with Gold sponsorship from Centennial Coal and Energy Australia, Silver sponsorship from Lithgow McDonalds. Markets will open from 2.00pm with entertainment from 3.00pm through to 10.00pm.
This year’s event will feature the band Australian Played with two live sets full of Australian rock music through the decades including AC/DC, INXS, The Angels and many more.
The Samba drumming band Samba Trombada will lead the street parade along Main Street at 6.10pm and they invite you to join in with them to start off the night time activities.
