Convicts and Coffee
Convicts and Coffee: Hartley Courthouse LithGlow Hologram Tour. At this fine example of early colonial architecture you can imagine the convicts, magistrates, constables and settlers that passed through its doors in the 1800s. On the self-guided tour you can experience the history of this building through stories and audio-visual interpretation, including holograms: history told through the experiences of early settlers. Visit Hartley Historic Site during LithGlow and enjoy a self-guided tour of the courthouse and St. Bernard’s Church, and a coffee at the Post Office Café, all for $9.90 from Wednesday 8th May- Sunday 12th May. Visit the Farmer’s Inn Visitor Centre at Hartley Historic Site between 10am and 3pm to arrange your tour and coffee. And from 10am until midday during LithGlow you can also enjoy The Glow of the Blacksmith’s Fire: metal artist Ron Fitzpatrick will be demonstrating the ancient art of blacksmithing in his workshop at the Talisman Gallery, entry free. Friday 10 May-Sunday 12 May only.
